View dismissal V Sehwag b Oram 23 30 4 0 76.66
9.1 Oram’s removed Sehwag’s off stump with the first ball of his spell. Good delivery, but it kept low as a befuddled Sehwag looked back after it went through under his bat. On a length on off stump and Sehwag got marginally forward and looked to guide through the off side. The ball slid under the bat and sent off stump cartwheeling. Oram’s pleased with the result. 42/2
View dismissal SR Tendulkar b Southee 17 23 3 0 73.91
7.3 Southee has silenced Chennai with a full slower ball on middle and off. Sachin initially throught of driving down the ground, then realised it was coming slow and looked to force it through mid on with the bottom hand. It came through too slow even for that shot. It found a way past between bat and pad and disturbed the timber. Lovely delivery. 35/1
View dismissal G Gambhir c How b Southee 89 85 11 0 104.70
38.4 Southee gets his man this time, he has been persisting with those short deliveries, cramping him for room, GAmbhir backed away to cut it, but the extra bounce produced a thick edge that was gobbled up neatly by the keeper 216/4
View dismissal V Kohli c †BB McCullum b Oram 59 68 7 0 86.76
29.1 whoops, Kohli goes against the run of play, to a wild shot to a wide ball, it was so far wide outside off he had to reach out as he tried to smash it through cover, but some away movement and extra bounce got the edge on its way to Brendon who took a sharp catch, neat anticipation from him, Kohli has thrown it away 148/3
MS Dhoni*† not out 108 64 11 3 168.75
View dismissal SK Raina c Taylor b Mills 50 26 4 3 192.30
47.6 Raina goes now, wanted to go over wide long on with his favourite heave, but got too much underneath the full delivery for extra cover to run in and take the skier, but he has played a blinder here, more pleasant worries for Dhoni about the batting line-up 340/5

View dismissal MJ Guptill c †Dhoni b Ashwin 38 45 4 1 84.44
14.6 Turn and bounce does Guptill in. It was delivered from round the stumps, landed on a good length outside off and turned. So far so good for Guptill, who thought he can play the late steer through slips. But the ball turned in more and more importantly, jumped up a lot more. It hit the handle and popped straight up. Dhoni jogged past Guptill to take it 94/1
View dismissal BB McCullum† run out (Raina) 58 54 7 0 107.40
19.1 Harbhajan Singh to Ryder, and that’s the wicket thrown away. Ryder cuts it and runs. Raina moves across from cover and lets the throw rip to the bottom of the stumps to his captain. Dhoni does the rest. McCullum pats Ryder on the back on his way back to the pavilion. Good to see that 118/2
JD Ryder c Yuvraj Singh b Harbhajan Singh 32 36 3 0 88.88
View dismissal LRPL Taylor* c Kohli b Harbhajan Singh 5 14 0 0 35.71
23.6 What a tame dismissal! It was a flighted delivery from round the stumps, on a good length on the middle stump line, and Taylor leans forward and flicks it gently to short midwicket. Hmm… 140/3
View dismissal JEC Franklin lbw b Chawla 0 3 0 0 0.00
24.4 Trapped! landed on a good length on the middle and off stump line and turned slightly. It him in front of the middle stump line.Franklin had pushed his front leg too far across. 141/4
View dismissal SB Styris b Chawla 20 33 1 0 60.60
38.1 Google that googly Styris! It landed on a length outside off and broke back in towards off. Styris didn’t quite pick it and if he did, he was unsure what to do with it. A weak attempt at a cut shot and the ball went through the bat and pad gap to fall on the off stump 202/8
View dismissal JM How c Patel b Yuvraj Singh 15 22 1 0 68.18
31.4 Munaf takes this one and he flings the ball in almost anger at himself for dropping the previous one. Jamie How had gone down the track for the lofted shot and ended up slicing it towards Munaf at long-off. 173/6
View dismissal JDP Oram st †Dhoni b Yuvraj Singh 12 19 1 0 63.15
37.3 advances down the track, doesn’t reach the pitch of the ball as Yuvraj pushes it across Oram who fails to get any bat on the ball and Dhoni does the rest. Bit of a nothing shot really. Neither aggressive or defensive. A weak waft 197/7
NL McCullum not out 29 18 3 2 161.11
View dismissal LJ Woodcock b Nehra 9 9 1 0 100.00
39.6 Yorked! It homed in on the off stump, went under the bat of Woodcock and rattled the off stump. 213/9
View dismissal KD Mills b Nehra 2 6 0 0 33.33
43.1 he moved outside leg, Nehra followed him with a slower one, Mills ends up stabbing at it and the ball bounds off the pad to the stumps. All over. 243/10
